We often say “out with the old, in with the new” to leave behind the bad moments of the past. However, the truth is, although 2024 has had its setbacks, as happens in any family, it has been a wonderful year full of challenges, hopes and many achievements. We bid farewell to 2024 and welcome 2025 remembering an intense year filled with changes, successes, innovation… and commitment to the environment! New corporate image
We started the year by cultivating change: our corporate image! The design of a new logo along with each word of the claim “small greens. immensely good” reflects our dedication to growing (vertically) a small-size product, of the highest quality, but with an immensely positive impact, immensely tasty, immensely nutritious and immensely sustainable. And that includes, of course, minimizing our environmental footprint. Sounds good? Well, it tastes even better!
New facilities
Following our growth path (vertically, as always 😉), we’ve taken a big step and moved to new facilities in Horta, which were previously unused. This new location has allowed us to optimize processes and increase our production capacity, ensuring that our microgreens arrive fresher and perfect than ever to your table. We are more than ready to keep growing and bringing the best of our cultivation directly to you!
Collaborations with partners
We have started collaborations with Oriental Market, Puig Bolets Centelles o Soulblim. Thanks to these alliances, we have not only expanded the distribution of our products, but we have also done so with partners who share our same values. Without them, we couldn’t reach our clients (and we now have more than 70 chefs in Barcelona who trust us!).
Product innovation
In 2024, we ventured into innovation and surprised our clients and chefs with two new products: coriander microgreens, super fresh, aromatic and with a citrus touch, which have quickly become a star ingredient in many recipes, and a limited edition of pea microgreens, which we gifted to some customers so they could enjoy their quality during the holidays.
A year of culinary events
And since talking about the wonders of our products is not the same as tasting them, this year we took action by participating in events with tastings of our products. Highlights include the Feria Alimentaria, in collaboration with Oriental Market, where our microgreens worked magic in a delicious sushi with micromezclum and a coriander curry, and the Tast a la Rambla event, in collaboration with Nectari, with their Alaska wild salmon tartare, with spirulina and piparra pepper. We still remember the explosion of flavors!
We enter 2025 by thanking all the people who have planted their seed to make Urbanfresh grow. Thank you to our clients, collaborators, employees, our community of followers that never stops growing, and to the chefs who inspire us every day, for believing in and trusting us.
